• We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
• We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics on this website.
• Your free risk check answers stay in your browser unless you place an order.
• You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time.

Who we are and what this covers

This policy explains how Newera Aesthetics LLC, doing business as Newera Screening ("Newera," "we"), handles personal information collected through this website, checkout, the free risk check, and our customer service. Health information created by the physicians who order your test and the laboratory that runs it is also protected by HIPAA in their hands; see HIPAA and Your Health Information. Information we collect

Information you give us: your name, email, phone, date of birth, sex assigned at birth, shipping or draw address, order and membership details, the consents you agree to and when, the risk check answers you choose to send with an order, the contact details of a doctor you ask us to send results to, and what you tell customer support.

Information from partners: order and review status from the ordering physicians; sample status and results delivery from the laboratory; payment status from Stripe (we never receive your full card number); approval status from Klarna or Affirm if you use them; delivery tracking from shipping carriers.

Information collected automatically: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested and time) used to keep the website secure. The website stores your checkout progress and risk check answers in your browser's session storage so a refresh does not lose them; this stays on your device and is cleared when you close the tab. We do not use advertising cookies, pixels or third-party analytics.

How we use it

• To arrange physician review, laboratory testing, kit shipping or mobile draws, and to deliver results.
• To send order, appointment and results updates by email and text.
• To process payments, refunds and memberships, and to prevent fraud.
• To answer your questions and provide support.
• To comply with law and protect the rights and safety of our customers and others.
• To improve the Services using de-identified or aggregated information, and for research as described in the Informed Consent, which you can opt out of.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only as needed to provide the Services, with:

• The independent physicians who review and order your test, through [GenieMD Medical Group], and their telehealth platform.
• The CLIA-certified laboratory that runs your test, [Partner Lab], and mobile phlebotomy providers for mobile draws.
• Shipping carriers (name and address only).
• Payment processors and, if you choose them, Klarna or Affirm.
• Service providers that host our website and send our emails, under contracts that limit their use of your information.
• A doctor you ask us to send your results to.
• Authorities when the law requires it, or to protect safety.
• A buyer or successor if our business is sold or merged, subject to this policy.

We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use health information for advertising.

Your rights and choices

Depending on your state, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, to opt out of its sale, sharing or use for targeted advertising or profiling (we do none of these), and to limit the use of sensitive information (we use it only to provide the Services). We honor these requests for all U.S. customers regardless of state.

• You can use an authorized agent; we may ask the agent for written permission from you.
• We respond within 45 days, and may extend once by 45 days with notice.
• If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision with "Appeal" in the subject line; we answer appeals within the time your state requires.
• We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services and meet legal, tax and accounting duties, generally [7] years after your last order. Medical records held by the physicians and laboratory are kept for the periods the law requires of them. Risk check answers that you do not send with an order are never stored by us.

Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and vendor contracts to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will notify you as the law requires.

Children

The Services are for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18.

Notice at collection for California residents

In the last 12 months we collected the categories below, from the sources and for the purposes described above. We did not sell or share any of them for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not knowingly sell or share information of consumers under 16.

Changes

We will post updates here with a new effective date and notify you of material changes by email.
